This is a static file host. Every page you can reach here is a file on disk, served by nginx with no server-side language, no database and no cookies.

Why a separate hostname

Splitting static content onto its own host keeps caching headers honest: assets can be cached for a day without worrying about dynamic pages on the same origin, and the access log for this host stays short enough to read.

Hosting

One small VPS in a Czech datacentre, Ubuntu LTS, patched on a schedule. Nothing here is load balanced or replicated; if the host goes down, the notes go down with it and come back when it does.
